Amazing doctors

Belinda Dick
DVM (Program Manager)

My commitment to helping foreign veterinarians pass their exams is motivated at a personal level. As a foreign veterinarian myself living in Costa Rica, I know first hand the desire to pursue your career path no matter where life may take you. After working as a conservation biologist with sea turtles for over 15 years, I shifted to the field of veterinary medicine to continue to pursue my interest in wildlife and small animals. Education and providing students and graduates with hands-on experience has always been an essential part of my career choices. I believe practice makes perfect and we need to continue to practice and learn every day, to be a bit better than we were yesterday. I am a former member of Costa Rica’s Board of Veterinary Medicine, and when not working you will probably find me with my cat, hiking in the mountains or exercising.

Perla Fallas
DVM (Surgeon & Small Animal Medicine)

Working in small animal practice for almost 15 years, I have a special enthusiasm for surgery and love to learn new skills and techniques every day. Co-owner of a chain of three veterinary medical hospitals in Costa Rica, I now split my time between practice and preparing students for the CPE in surgery, balancing my clinical work with my passion to teach. I love helping both students and professionals prepare for careers in the veterinary field. I am a former member of Costa Rica’s Board of Veterinary Medicine and, when I am not found in the clinic or teaching, I am probably loving my many pets, dancing salsa, exercising or doing all kinds of crafts!

Daniel Vargas
DVM (Anesthesiologist & Small Animal Medicine)

Working in small animal practice for 12 years, I enjoy all aspects of small animal clinic and love to read and keep up on new procedures. Although I am co-owner of a chain of three veterinary medical hospitals in Costa Rica, I always find time to help teach anesthesia to vets preparing for their CPE. I find it rewarding to know I was able to play a part in their success. I will also be the one you probably call to try and fix things, from machines to technology as I am very tech savvy and can find a solution to almost any problem. In my free time I like to read and play games.
